JACKSONVILLE, Fla. _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears will head to Jacksonville, Fla. this weekend to take on the North Florida Ospreys for the second consecutive season at Harmon Stadium.

The Bears (9-12, 1-2) and Ospreys (13-7, 3-0) have only played one series as ASUN Conference foes, with UNF winning two of three games a year ago at home. The Bears will make three trips to Florida for ASUN play this season, also playing at Florida Gulf Coast in Fort Myers, Fla. (April 5-7) and at Stetson in DeLand, Fla. (May 16-17).

UCA went 1-2 against Eastern Kentucky last weekend in its ASUN opening series at Bear Stadium. UNF went on the road and swept Queens 3-0 in Charlotte, N.C., and is tied for first place with FGCU in the ASUN standings.

A year ago, the Bears won the series opener with the Ospreys behind a stellar effort on the mound by right hander Jesse Barker. The Benton, Ark., native tossed a complete-game, five-hit shutout, with five strikeouts and no walks. 

UNF came back and won the next two games 9-5 and 5-0.

The Bears are coming off one of their most complete games of the season, an 11-4 road victory over Louisiana-Monroe on Tuesday night. UCA had a season-high 15 hits, with senior infielder Mason King going 4 for 6.

UNF dropped a 2-1 decision at Bethune-Cookman on Tuesday in Daytona Beach, Fla. The Ospreys were held to just two hits and struck out nine times. 

The Ospreys are led offensively by junior infielder Tripp McKinlay, who has a .347 batting average. UNF has two pitchers _ Tony Roca, Zane Starling _ with three victories each. Roca is 3-1 with an 0.40 earned-run average. Lance Bolton has a team-high three saves.
