STUNT Opens Inagural Season in Dallas

DALLAS, Texas – STUNT season officially started on Friday for the Bears, who competed twice to open their inaugural season. And though the Bears dropped both contests, the future is bright for Central Arkansas, who joined the collegiate ranks of STUNT for the 2024 season.

"I felt great about how we played today, our team had a fire today that they've never had," head coach Alyssa Morrow said of the first day. "As far as execution of skills, nothing was dropped, we were pretty accurate on everything we needed to be accurate on, and the girls were really on top of their routines today."

Central Arkansas had a fighting chance against Texas Woman's University. Scoring five points in the game, including three in the first quarter on partner stunts, it ultimately wasn't enough to defeat the Pioneers, who logged ten in the morning matchup.

The Bears then faced California Baptist, winners of three-straight national championships. And although Central Arkansas was defeated 24-0, the Bears held their own against the most dominant team in the sport.

"I felt like we played our best game against California Baptist, they just set the standard," Morrow added. "They make it really hard to get any points, so even if you're playing as good as we did today, they just make it so tough."

Central Arkansas competes again on Saturday, facing Southern Nazarene at 8 a.m. and Kentucky at 1 p.m.
