DALLAS, Texas _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears will face their fourth Top 20 team of the season on Tuesday when they take on the Dallas Baptist Patriots.

First pitch is set for 3 p.m. at Horner Ballpark.

The Bears, coming off a 2-1 series victory over the Austin Peay Governors last weekend at Bear Stadium, will play its next-to-last non-conference game of the season. UCA plays Little Rock next Tuesday at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock as part of the "Governor's I-40 Showdown."

The Patriots, from Conference USA, are 36-12 overall and are 23-4 at home this season at Horner Ballpark. DBU, a frequent NCAA Regional team, won two of three games at home against Middle Tennessee, with three high-scoring affairs. DBU won 16-5, lost 16-8 and won the final 15-6.

The Patriots are 5-2 in their last seven games. The Bears are 5-1 over their last six.

UCA and DBU last met in 2017, with the Patriots winning two of three games at Bear Stadium. DBU leads the overall series 7-3.

The Bears got another solid start out of starter Jesse Barker last Friday and two superb relief outings from junior Trent Gregson in Games 2-3 against the Governors. The Bears also broke the school single-season record for home runs with Mason King's blast on Sunday _ his second of the weekend _ that gives them 52 on the year.

Dallas Baptist certainly has a power game as well, sitting at 87 home runs on the year, with four players with double-figure homers. The leader is freshman catcher Grant Jay with 16. He also has a team-high 13 doubles and a team-best .336 batting average.

UCA's top hitters are junior designated hitter Connor Flagg (.327), junior first baseman A.J. Mendolia (.325) and sophomore shortstop Reid Bowman (.322).

UCA will return to ASUN Conference play this weekend, taking on the Jacksonville State Gamecocks in Jacksonville, Ala. Game times are 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1 p.m. Sunday. The Bears have six ASUN games remaining to earn a berth in the postseason tournament.
