IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Central Arkansas men's golf team wrapped up play at the Hawkeye Invitational, finishing in 13^th place after 54 holes. The team finished round two before playing an entire third round on Saturday.
 
The Bears were led by Nash Johnson, who finished with a three-round score of 223. The freshman played season-best 71 to close the event, sinking four birdies to close play. Sam Long capped his final round with an eagle; starting on the third hole, he came all the way back around to eagle the 537-yard second hole. Long finished with a 2-over 74 in round three, rounding out a final score of 226.
 
Trey DePriest finalized a 5-over 77 on Saturday, pairing a second-round 75 with the 77 for a two-day score of 227. Luke Sienkiewicz finished his three rounds of the Hawkeye Invitational with a score of 232 after a score of 78 in the second round and a third-round 75.
 
Iowa, hosting the event, took home first place, shooting a 12-under 276 in round three for a final score of 835. Kansas moved into second after scoring a day-best 273. Northern Illinois finished in third place. Iowa's Mac McClear shot a 67 to take first place. Kansas' Gunnar Broin jumped 20 places into second after a third-round 63. Northern Illinois' Ben Sluzas finished in third.
 
Up next, the Bears head to Mobile, Ala., to take on the ASUN Championships from April 25-27.
