Men's Golf Claims Postseason Accolades

CONWAY, Ark. – After a successful first year in Conway, two Bears were named to ASUN postseason teams, with a Second Team All-ASUN honor for Kalle Svederman and an ASUN All-Freshman spot for Vukasin Suturovic.

Svederman had one of the best debut seasons by a Bear in recent memory, playing in 27 rounds and posting a 72.67 stroke average. He had six top-10 finishes, including a win at the Gulf Coast Collegiate, finishing with a 4-under 212 to claim the medal. He also finished in the top-20 at the ASUN Championship, helping the Bears claim their first ASUN Championship.

Suturovic played a great role in his first season as a collegiate golfer, playing in 30 rounds during the year. His 73.97 stroke average was second on the team, and his lowest round of 66 during the season was also second on the team. He posted two top-10 finishes during the year, with a year-best sixth-place finish at the Gulf Coast Collegiate.

Two Bears earning postseason honors marks the second-straight year that the program has claimed multiple league honors. Central Arkansas now gets set for its first NCAA Regional, as the Bears play in the Reno Regional.
