CONWAY, Ark. _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears had six football student-athletes named to the 2023 Academic All-District Team presented by College Sports Communicators (CSC).

Those honored for their academics were: graduate tight end Austin Eldridge, graduate punter Chandler Caughron, graduate linebacker Darin Davenport, senior cornerback Andrew Hayes, junior placekicker Jake Gaster and sophomore linebacker Jake Golday.

The CSC Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions _ NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III and NAIA.

All honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot which will be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced Jan. 23, 2024.
