CONWAY, Ark. – The University of Central Arkansas Bears Men's and Women's Track & Field Teams getting ready for the indoor and outdoor seasons for 2024.
Indoor Season
The indoor season will kickoff on January 12
th at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark. for the Arkansas Invitational. The Bears will then travel up to Topeka, Kan. for the Washburn Rust Buster held at Washburn University on January 20
th. For a two-day meet in Champaign, Ill., the Bears will race at the Illini Challenge on January 26-27
th.
Going into February, the Bears will return to Washburn University on February 2
nd-3
rd for the Washburn Open & Multi. For another two-day meet, the Gorilla Classic will be held at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kan. on February 9
th-10
th. Returning to Fayetteville, the Bears will compete in the Arkansas Qualifier at the University of Arkansas on February 23
rd-24
th.
The Indoor season will wrap up March 8
th-9
th at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Boston, Mass.
Outdoor Season
That same weekend, March 8
th-9
th, the outdoor season will take off at Hendrix University here in Conway for the Hendrix Alumni Invitational. The Bears will host the Richard Matrin, Jr. Invitational in Conway on March 15
th-16
th. A jog down to Austin, Texas, will take us to the Texas Relays on March 27
th-30
th.
Staying closer to home, the Bears will venture to Searcy, Ark. on April 5
th for the Bison Open at Harding University. With another short trip over to Little Rock, the Bears will compete in the Little Rock Invitational on April 12
th-13
th. The Bears will take a long trip over to Walnut, Cali., on April 17
th-20
th, for the Mt. SAC Relays at Hilmer Lodge Stadium. At the end of April, the Bears will travel to Des Moines, Iowa for the Drake Relays at Drake University for a two-day meet on April 24
th-27
th.
Towards the end of the season, the Bears will race over to Memphis, Tenn., for the Memphis Tiger Invitational on May 3
rd-4
th as well as compete at the Arkansas Twilight for a race under the stars in Fayetteville the same weekend.
The Outdoor Season will wrap up with the ASUN Outdoor Championships in Conway on May 9
th-11
th and the First Round West Preliminary of the NCAA meet will be held in Fayetteville, Ark. on May 22
nd-25
th. On June 5
th-8
th, the NCAA Championships will be held in Eugene, Ore.
