CONWAY, Ark. _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears will try to carry Sunday's late-inning momentum into a Tuesday matchup with Oral Roberts at Bear Stadium.

The Bears (5-9) and Golden Eagles (10-5), meeting for the 15th time but first time since 2019, will face off at 6 p.m.

UCA's late-game heroics in a 13-10 win over UT Martin on Sunday came courtesy of a 12-run seventh inning in which the Bears sent 15 batters to the plate and scored 12 times off just four hits. The Skyhawks issued four walks and hit a pair of UCA batters, while also committing two errors in the inning. UCA trailed 10-1 entering the inning.

Senior first baseman Connor Emmet had four runs batted in in the inning, with a two-run single, followed by a two-run home run that capped the scoring.

UCA is coming off a 2-2 week in which it beat in-state rival Little Rock on Wednesday, then dropped games to Creighton on Thursday and UT Martin on Friday before finishing the weekend with one of the biggest comebacks in school history. The UCA-ORU game will close out an eight-game home stand for the Bears, who open their first season in the ASUN Conference this weekend at Bellarmine in Louisville, Ky.

The Golden Eagles, who play in the Summit League, are coming off an 8-4, seven-inning victory over No. 2 Ole Miss on Sunday in Oxford, Miss. ORU, which had an eight-game winning streak earlier in the season, plays at Little Rock on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles are two weeks away from opening Summit League play at home against South Dakota State, a team UCA took two of three games from on March 4-5 at Bear Stadium.

UCA and ORU were Southland Conference foes in 2013 and 2014 before the Golden Eagles returned to the Summit League. UCA is 2-2 in games played in Conway, including the last meeting in 2019. The Bears got solid pitching from Tanner Wiley and Mathew Patton to earn a 9-3 victory. Right fielder Kolby Johnson is the only current Bear who played in that game. He went 1 for 5 with a triple and two runs scored from the leadoff spot.
