David Walker made it three All-America honors on Monday, being named one of just 11 FCS ADA All-Americans.
The team is named by the Division I Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA), in coordination with the 15 FCS conference offices. The 10th annual award recognizes the top student-athletes from FCS institutions across 11 different positions. The 2022 class includes student-athletes from 11 different institutions, representing seven different conferences. Voting was conducted by a national panel, consisting of media and sports information directors.
From the 11 All-America Team honorees, an Offensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year will be announced on January 4, 2023, in advance of the FCS National Championship Game. The Offensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year recipients will be recognized at the FCS national championship contest in Frisco, Texas, during an on-field presentation.
Walker, a sophomore from Stuttgart, Ark., was the ASUN Conference Defensive Player of the Year and is a top three finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award. He led the ASUN and all of FCS in tackles for loss (22, minus 107 yards). He was also first in the ASUN and second in FCS in sacks (12, minus 83 yards) during the regular season. Walker finished his first season at UCA with 66 total tackles, one pass breakup and one forced fumble. He also tied the school record for sacks in a game with 3.5 against Stephen F. Austin.
  Walker was also named a first-team All-American on the Associated Press (AP) FCS All-America team and the Hero Sports All-America team.
