Conway, Ark.- The United Athletic Conference has announced their 2026 Football Schedule. Each of the seven football programs in the UAC (Southern Utah and Utah Tech will no longer be in the league) will play a single round robin schedule resulting in six conference games for each program. The Bears will start their 2026 UAC schedule playing at Abilene Christian University and at Tarleton State University in their first two UAC match-ups on October 10
th and October 17
th. The Bears will then play their UAC home opener after a bye week on October 31
st versus the University of North Alabama, which will also be Homecoming Weekend. The Bears will also have home games against the University of West Georgia on November 7
th and Austin Peay on November 21
st (Senior Day/Salute to Service game). The Bears will also have one other road trip in UAC play, heading out to Eastern Kentucky on November 14
th.
In 2025, the Bears finished the UAC schedule in seventh place with a 2-6 record. The Bears lost 3 of those UAC games by a total of 11 points. Abilene Christian and Tarleton State finished the season 7-1, ACU received the automatic qualifier into the FCS National Tournament by beating TSU head-to-head in the regular season. TSU also made it into the Tournament as an at large selection. ACU will play at TSU on November 7
th in 2026.
In non-conference action in 2026, the Bears will welcome to the Stripes the University of Central Oklahoma on September 5
th for the Home Opener, FCS perennial power North Dakota State University on September 12
th (Family Day / Band Day), and Lindenwood on October 3
rd (Hall of Fame Weekend). The Bears non-conference road games will include UT Martin on Thursday, August 27
th to start the season. Then play at SEMO on September 19
th and then down to Tallahassee to take on the Seminoles of Florida State University on September 26
th.
