CONWAY, Ark. _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears will play their final mid-week non-conference game Tuesday when they host the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions at 1 p.m. at Bear Stadium.
UCA (19-24, 14-18) will take on UAPB (8-30, 8-14) for the 28th time, with the Bears dominating the series 25-2. UCA has won the past 10 meetings, with the most recent being in 2019. The Bears won 8-1 in Conway in April 2019 and 13-3 in Pine Bluff in May of 2019. UAPB's last victory came in a 14-9 slugfest in Conway, back in 2015.
 The Bears are coming off a 2-2 split in Southland Conference action last weekend at New Orleans. The Golden Lions swept a three-game series with Grambling last weekend on the road.Â
UCA had a .273 batting average last weekend against the second-place Privateers, along with a 4.80 earned-run average. Sophomore left fielder
Kolby Johnson hit .563 (9 of 16) and had five runs batted in and scored three times. UCA totaled 33 hits and drew 17 walks. Junior right fielder
Connor Emmet pushed his team lead in home runs to eight with a pair.

The Bears will return to the road for their final trip of the regular season this weekend, taking on the Houston Baptist Huskies in Houston, beginning at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon. Saturday's doubleheader is scheduled for 11 a.m., with Sunday's series finale at 2 p.m. Sunday.
