The 1976 University of Central Arkansas Bears football team, coached by UCA Sports Hall of Famer Ken Stephens, will hold a reunion on Saturday, Sept. 10 to celebrate the Bears advancing to the championship game of the NAIA Playoffs. This was the first UCA team to reach the national finals in any sport. A large number of former team members are expected to attend.

The reunion is being held in conjunction with the Bears' home football game against the Samford Bulldogs. Tailgating for the reunion group will begin at noon and the former players will be recognized in a pre-game ceremony prior to the 6 p.m. kickoff at First Security Field at Estes Stadium.

A scholarship fund to benefit all sports at UCA, the Bear Athletic Scholarship Fund, is being set up by the team and the group is challenging other teams and former players in all sports to join with us in "Bears Helping Bears." For more information contact Bob Rich at (972) 679-7961.
