CONWAY, Ark. _ The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles had four two-run innings Saturday night and it resulted in an 8-4 victory over the University of Central Arkansas Bears in Southland Conference play at Bear Stadium.
   The Golden Eagles (24-22, 11-12) evened the series and pulled back into an eighth-place tie with the Bears (23-20, 11-2), with the series finale set for 1 p.m, Sunday.

   ORU scored two runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings before UCA got on the board. The Bears rallied with four runs in the bottom of the seventh but the Golden Eagles put up two more in the eighth to hold off UCA.
   ORU second baseman Matt Brandy had four of his team's 14 hits, while shortstop Jose Trevino and third baseman Brandon Healy had two RBI each. For the Bears, center fielder Doug Votolato, right fielder Tyler Langley and designated hitter Wesley Hoover had two hits apiece, with Langley driving in three of UCA's four runs.
   Down 6-0 with only four hits through six innings, the Bears exploded for four runs in the seventh to cut the deficit to 6-4. Catcher Brandon Montalvo led off with an infield single and Hoover followed with a base hit to right field. After a pitching change for ORU, Carson Dowdle singled up the middle to load the bases.
   Chris Townsend hit a sharp ground ball to ORU third baseman Healy for the force out, scoring Montalvo, but Healy then threw wildly to first, allowing the runners to advance to second and third. Jacob Teague came on to pitch for ORU and walked Nate Ferrell to re-load the bases. Another pitching change brought in Kurt Giller and Langley greeted him with a first-pitch triple into the left-center gap, clearing the bases.
   After ORU pushed the lead back to 8-4, UCA left two runners on base in the bottom of the eighth, then left the bases loaded in the ninth. For the game, the Bears stranded 13 runners.
   UCA starter Chris Caudle (6-4) took the loss, while ORU starter Gavin Glanz (3-4) got the victory.
