At this week's Bear Backers luncheon, University of Central Arkansas head football coach Clint Conque previewed this weekend's meeting between the No. 11/14 Bears and No. 14/11 Cowboys of McNeese State, set for 3 p.m. Saturday on The Stripes in a
Southland Conference TV broadcast. The game will be broadcast locally on KARZ (Conway Corp Ch. 9, Comcast Ch. 9, DirecTV Ch. 42, & OTA 42.1).

The Bears (2-2) are coming off an open week after their 17-13 win at Missouri State while the Cowboys (4-1) come into the 2013 Southland Conference opener off a 41-6 loss on the road at No. 4 Northern Iowa.
UCA leads the series with McNeese 4-3, including wins in four of the last five seasons and a perfect 3-0 record at home. The Bears won a 27-26 thriller in Lake Charles last season, and edged out the Cowboys 21-18 in 2011 in the last meeting on First Security Field. The last four contests have each been decided by four points or less.
