CONWAY, Ark. _ University of Central Arkansas freshman outfielder Jonathan Davis picked up another postseason award on Wednesday when he was named to the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America Team.

Davis, a center fielder from Camden Fairview, was the Southland Conference Freshman of the Year after hitting .350 with five home runs, three triples, 30 RBI and 21 stolen bases. Davis led the Bears in batting average, slugging percentage (.522), on-base percentage (.441), runs scored (43), stolen bases and tied for the lead in home runs.

Davis had a team-high 11-game hitting streak this season and had 14 multi-hit games and nine multi-RBI games. He started 41 games for the Bears as a freshman, the majority of those in center field. He had season highs of four hits against Texas State on April 9 and three RBI against Texas State on April 10. Davis earned SLC Hitter of the Week honors on April 11 following the Texas State series.
