CONWAY, Ark. – Central Arkansas men's soccer (4-1-1, 1-0 ASUN) will look to extend its win streak to five games when it takes on UAB Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Central Arkansas will be on the road for the first time since Aug. 24 as it looks to build on the momentum created during its four-game home stretch, allowing just one goal during that span. In its last matchup, the Bears opened ASUN play against Lipscomb with a 1-0 victory. The lone goal came from senior defender Joseph Mwamba, his first of the season, while Garner Wolfe was credited with the assist.
Vaclav Kozeny currently leads the team with three goals, while six Bears are tied for second with one goal. Kyle Schwartz, Garner Wolfe and Logan Smith are currently tied for the team lead in assists with two apiece. Goalkeeper Merrick Cook has allowed just three goals through five starts, while Central Arkansas currently leads the ASUN in save percentage at .850.
Central Arkansas enters the matchup with an all-time record of 1-3 against UAB. The Bears won the most recent meeting in 2021, defeating UAB 1-0 in Birmingham.
