CONWAY, Ark. – The Central Arkansas volleyball team earned the Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association, the organization announced on Thursday. 
 
This year's honor marks the seventh-straight year and ninth overall recognition for the program. The Sugar Bears were honored as part of a list of 1,432 high school and college programs nationwide to earn at least a 3.3 team GPA. 
 

Led by three Academic All-ASUN selections, the Sugar Bears earned a 3.52 team GPA, surpassing the threshold for the award. 
 
"It comes as no surprise to see our sport have more than 1,400 teams earn the AVCA Team Academic Award again this season," said AVCA CEO Jaime Gordon. "We are grateful for the dedication of the coaches and players who make both classroom and on-court success the lifeblood of their programs."
