CONWAY, Ark. – The Central Arkansas volleyball team is headed to Oxford, Miss. to take part in this weekend's Rebel Classic with a match on Saturday against Southern Miss and another on Sunday against Ole Miss.
The Sugar Bears (0-3) go into this weekend looking for their first win of the 2026 campaign.
McKinzee Haas was named to the Buffs Classic All-Tournament Team for her performance in the first competition of the season. Haas finished the three-game weekend with a team-leading total of 28 kills, a .313 hitting percentage, 12 block assists, three digs and two service aces, registering a total of 36 points.
Saturday's contest against Southern Miss (3-0) is set for 12 p.m. The Golden Eagles come into the matchup undefeated early on this season with wins over sweeps over Southern and Jacksonville State, and a win over a former Sugar Bear ASUN foe, Jacksonville. This will be the second all-time meeting between the Sugar Bears and Golden Eagles, with Central Arkansas holding lone win.
Ole Miss (3-2) enters Sunday's 12 p.m. contest with the Sugar Bears after splitting their last weekend of competition with a win over Ohio State and a five-set loss to Washington. The Rebels own the all-time series record over Central Arkansas 2-0.
Ole Miss is the Sugar Bears' first SEC opponent since defeating Oklahoma at home in five sets last season.
