CONWAY, Ark.- Central Arkansas student-athletes continue to excel in the classroom, according to the latest Academic Progress Rate (APR) data released by the NCAA. The APR serves as the NCAA's annual scorecard for academic achievement, tracking eligibility, graduation, and retention for every Division I team each term. Teams are scored on a scale up to 1,000, with a threshold of 930 required to avoid penalties. The most recent multiyear figures include data from the 2021–22 through 2024–25 academic years.
The latest results reflect both sustained success and continued improvement across UCA Athletics. Twelve of the Bears' 15 programs either improved their multiyear APR or maintained a perfect 1,000 score, highlighting the long-term strength and stability of Central Arkansas' academic culture. In addition, 11 of 15 programs either improved their single-year APR or maintained a perfect 1,000 during the 2024–25 academic year, demonstrating a department-wide commitment to academic excellence.
Three programs; women's cross country, women's golf, and beach volleyball earned a perfect multiyear APR score of 1,000 while also receiving NCAA public recognition for ranking among the top 10% nationally in their respective sports. Beach volleyball has maintained a perfect multiyear APR every year since the program's inception nine years ago, while women's cross country recorded a perfect score for the fourth consecutive year and women's golf achieved the mark for the third straight season.
Overall, 10 of Central Arkansas' 15 programs met or exceeded the national average APR in their sport. Baseball posted one of the most impressive marks with a multiyear APR of 993, surpassing the national average of 980 by 13 points, the largest margin among UCA programs. Eight programs also earned a perfect single-year APR score for 2024–25, including men's cross country, women's basketball, women's cross country, women's golf, women's soccer, softball, beach volleyball, and women's track & field.
The APR results continue a strong trend of academic success for Central Arkansas Athletics. Over the past eight years, UCA has consistently set new institutional records for its multiyear NCAA Graduation Success Rate (GSR). The most recent GSR reached 90%, the highest among all Arkansas universities and all future members of the United Athletic Conference (UAC).
