Central Arkansas Wins Pair of Top ASUN Honors

Conway, Ark.-The University of Central Arkansas Athletics Department earned two of the Atlantic Sun Conference's highest honors for the 2025-26 academic year, claiming both the Bill Bibb Trophy and the Jesse C. Fletcher Trophy. The league announced their annual awards on Thursday, May 28th during the ASUN Hall of Fame ceremony at Dune House in Jacksonville, Fla.

The Bill Bibb Trophy is the ASUN's premier all-sports award, presented annually to the institution with the conference's top overall athletic program. The award recognizes comprehensive excellence across both men's and women's sports and reflects success throughout an institution's athletic department.

The Jesse C. Fletcher Trophy is awarded annually to the ASUN institution demonstrating the highest level of comprehensive excellence across its men's athletic programs.

Central Arkansas won five ASUN regulars season titles this year; Men's Basketball, Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field, and Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field. Volleyball claimed the ASUN Championship and Softball won the ASUN Gold Division.

The annual ASUN honors are voted on and selected by various groups including Faculty Athletic Representatives, Senior Woman Administrators and conference office staff.

"These awards are incredible accomplishments for Central Arkansas Athletics and prestigious recognition from the Atlantic Sun Conference," said Director of Athletics Matt Whiting. "They are a testament to our great student-athletes, coaches and staff, and a reflection of the way these folks represent our University and the greater Conway community with pride and determination each and every day. It is always a great day to be a Bear!"

The pair of conference honors caps another outstanding year for Central Arkansas Athletics, highlighting the success and consistency of the Bears across the ASUN during the 2025-26 season.
