CONWAY, Ark. – The Central Arkansas track and field teams are set for the squad's final tune-up meet of the outdoor season this weekend in Nashville, Tenn. at the Music City Challenge. The meet is scheduled to start on Friday with field events starting at 10 a.m. and running events kicking off at 5 p.m.
Entering the meet, the Bears come off a meet last weekend in Fayetteville placing four athletes in the top five, earning one gold medal and breaking two school records.
The women's 4x100-meter relay team of
Troynelle Miller,
Raghan Allen,
Baleigh Cashion and
Brenae Allen took the gold with a time of 44.77, topping the ASUN leaderboard this season.
Zoe Williams and
Symone Quiles each broke a school record at last weekend's meet, earning Freshman and Track Performer of the Week honors, respectively.
Williams broke her own record in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.50, increasing her lead at the top of the conference leaderboard. Williams also checked in at number 91 in the nation in the event.
Quiles broke the school record in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:01.07, placing her at 3
rd in the conference this season. Quiles also ran the 100-meter hurdles, finishing with a time of 14.25, moving into 6
th in the conference.
