CONWAY, Ark. – The ASUN has released its All-ASUN Teams and superlatives, with three Sugar Bears claiming spots on all-conference teams, and one Sugar Bear earning a yearly superlative. The Sugar Bears claim the spots after winning 20 games this season, reaching the 20-win mark for the third-straight season.
Central Arkansas earned two spots on Second Team All-Conference,
Shae Littleford and
Cheyanne Kemp, and
Bree Stephens was named the ASUN Defensive Player of the Year and Third Team All-ASUN. It marks the second Defensive Player of the Year award for the Aussie in three years at Central Arkansas.
"All three of these players have not only been great players this year, but they have been excellent leaders as well. They embody the characteristics of consistency, which we really value in our basketball program," Head coach
Tony Kemper said. "I am so proud of the type of young women they are, they truly value winning over individual accolades. When your best players are wired like this, it is much easier to have a successful program. Congratulations to them for being honored by the coaches of the ASUN."
Littleford, a graduate transfer from UT Martin, has been an excellent addition to the Sugar Bears this season, making an immediate impact with her leadership while affecting both sides of the ball. She ranked fifth in the ASUN in scoring with 14.2 points per game, and was the only player in the ASUN to hit 130 field goals, 45 three-pointers and 100 free throws. "Cheyanne has had a tremendous first year as a starter. I have been so impressed with her growth and consistency this season. The longer the year went, the better she got at all phases of her game, scoring, defending and rebounding. Once that happened for her, our team took off." – Coach Kemper

The Australian added 10.5 points per game, and led the Sugar Bears with 7.0 rebounds per game and 81 assists. Her 2.7 assists per game ranked tenth in the ASUN, and her 7.0 rebounds ranked sixth.
