NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Central Arkansas Beach Volleyball team wrapped up its weekend in Elmwood, Louisiana on Saturday with matches against Texas A&M–Kingsville and Southeastern.
The Beach Bears opened the day against Texas A&M–Kingsville in a competitive dual that featured three matches going to three sets.
On court one,
Natalie Blum and
Anna Linskey battled through a tightly contested match. After dropping the first set 21–15, the duo responded with a 24–22 win in the second before falling in the deciding set, 15–11.
Chandler Lawrence and
Madelyn White also pushed their match to three sets on court two. The Central Arkansas pair won the opening set 21–17 before Kingsville rallied to take the second 24–22 and the third 15–11.
Brooke Sharp and
Ella Layzell competed on court three, falling in straight sets despite close play, 21–18 and 21–19.
Audrey Cathcart and
Reegan Siewert forced a third set on court five, winning the opening set 23–21 before Texas A&M–Kingsville claimed the final two sets.
Central Arkansas closed the weekend against Southeastern later Saturday.
Madelyn White and Chandler Lawrence earned a straight-set victory on court two, defeating their Southeastern opponents 21–18 and 21–19 to secure a point for the Beach Bears. Natalie Blum and Anna Linskey fought through a three-set battle on court one. After dropping the first set 21–15, the pair responded with a dominant 21–10 second set before Southeastern claimed the deciding set 15–11. Brooke Sharp and Ella Layzell also battled on court three, falling in straight sets 21–18 and 21–15. Anna Jaworski and Allison Heck pushed their match on court four but fell in a close two-set contest, 24–22 and 21–19. On court five, Emmie Tidwell and Callie Mullins split the first two sets before Southeastern secured the third set to clinch the match.

Central Arkansas returns home next week to host the UCA Spring Break Invitational on March 20–21 in Conway, Arkansas. The tournament will take place at the Beach Bear Sand Courts, where the Beach Bears will welcome multiple teams for two days of competition.
