Bears Dominant Against the Osprey

CONWAY, Ark. — Central Arkansas (9-10, 4-2 ASUN) secured a decisive 98-69 victory over North Florida (3-16, 1-5 ASUN) on Saturday at the Farris Center. Nine Bears scored for the Bears including six in double digits. The Bears capitalized on a robust offensive performance, including 14 three-pointers and 25 assists, to dominate the game.

Central Arkansas started strong, opening the game with a layup by Camren Hunter following a turnover by North Florida's Kent Jackson. Hunter led his team with multiple key plays, including a three-pointer at 11:31 that pushed the Bears to a 17-12 advantage. Camren Hunter tied his season high with 26 points, demonstrating his vital role in the team's success. The hosts maintained their dominance with consecutive fast break points, culminating in Luke Moore's layup at 2:29, assisted by Hunter. Moore's performance was notable as he recorded a career-high total of 8 rebounds. Central Arkansas closed the first half with a commanding 50-23 lead, bolstered by effective scoring in the paint and a solid defensive effort, evidenced by their 26 rebounds and three blocks.

The Bears extended their lead early in the second half, starting with Cole McCormick's layup just 15 seconds in, assisted by Moore.
