CONWAY, Ark. – The Central Arkansas women's soccer team gears up for one more match in Hawaii, taking on Sacramento State on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. CT.
 
The Bears (1-2) look to regroup after falling to Hawaii on Friday, dropping a 1-0 final to the hosts. After giving up a first half goal, Central Arkansas locked back down, preventing the 'Bows from scoring again, but the offense couldn't generate enough good looks to get one to sneak pas to equalize.
 
Now three matches into the season, the Bears are starting to see the overall makeup of this year's squad. The midfield has been attentive in creating opportunities, with six total assists on the four goals this year, led by Megan Moudy's pair of helpers. The bench has been impactful, with three of the four goals scored this season coming from reserves. And Anna Kathryn Harrell has been solid in goal, making 25 saves through the first three matches.
 
Sacramento State (2-0) has gotten off to a quality start to the year, with wins over Pacific University and Oregon, most recently defeating the Ducks 1-0 in Hawaii. And it was not an easy task to take down the Ducks, Oregon outshot the Hornets 20-6, including a 9-5 advantage in shots on goal, but the Sac State defense and goalkeeper Izzy Palmatier held strong.
 
The Hornets have yet to surrender a goal in 2025, and earned their first win over Oregon in program history. Jaety Mandaquit tallied her first goal of the season in the win, and became the fourth Sac State player to score this season.
