CONWAY, Ark. – Senior offensive lineman
Will Diggins opens the fall with the first preseason award of the year. The Bryant, Arkansas native was named to a Stats Perform FCS Preseason Third Team All-American, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Diggins, the 2022 ASUN Freshman of the Year, earns the honor after blocking for the 14
th-best offense in the country, an offense that excelled both on the ground and in the passing game. The 2024 season marked the third-straight year that Diggins has blocked for a top-25 offense in Purple and Gray, and his 30 starts are the second-most of any returner this season.
The Bryant native continues to rack up honors as a Bear, and was also named a Second Team All-UAC offensive lineman after the 2023 season.
Diggins' experience will be key for the Bears this season, who turn over a number of key positions on offense. Returning with Diggins is fellow offensive senior lineman
Jamal Mull, as well as Freshman All-American receiver
Malachi Henry.
