CONWAY, Ark. – The Central Arkansas women's golf team earned three spots in the ASUN's postseason awards list, highlighting several exceptional individual seasons by the Bears. Two members of the team were selected to the Third Team All-ASUN, while another was selected to the All-Freshman Team.
Madison Holmes and
Valeria Ramirez were the two Bears named to the Third Team All-ASUN. Holmes, who only played the first semester due to injury, still played well enough in those tournaments to garner the respect as one of the conference's best golfers, earning her second career All-ASUN honor. In five tournaments, she averaged a team-low 73.67 strokes per round, with a season-best 68. She had three top-10 finishes and four top-20 finishes, peaking with a third-place finish at the Lady Red Wolves Classic in October. Of her 15 rounds, eight were at or below par.
"This recognition is a bright spot for Madison in what was a really tough year. She battled injury and was only able to play one semester. To still be recognized for her achievement is a testament to her and her ability to fight and battle through adversity. I am very proud of her and the standard she has helped set for our program." – Head Coach

Over the course of the year, she posted five top-20 finishes, including her season-best third place finish at the Lady Red Wolves Classic, tying with Holmes.
"Valeria showed complete control of her game from start to finish this season. She put in the time and effort to take her game to the next level and this award is a testament to that hard work she put in. I am very happy and proud for Valeria and I know this will inspire her to keep going for more." – HC Roachell
The Bears' all-freshman spot was claimed by
Emma Leroy Fabry. One of the players that logged all 32 rounds, her first season saw a great deal of success, as she put together a 75.47 stroke average across all rounds, with a season-best 70. Her best finish of the season was 14
th at the Puerto Rico Shootout, but among her teammates, Fabry never finished lower than third, highlighting the consistent golf she played in her first season in Purple and Gray.
"Emma played a very key role in our success this season. She proved she is one of the best Freshman in our conference. She came in as a freshman ready to compete at a high level. I am very proud of the way she handled everything we asked of her this semester and it's a big accomplishment to cap off her freshman year with an award like this." – HC Roachell
