CONWAY, Ark. – After a sensational weekend that saw the Central Arkansas softball team clinch a spot in the ASUN Championships, freshman outfielder
Addie Graham was named the ASUN Player of the Week.
Behind a .500 batting average over four games last week, including a .667 average in the ASUN series against Lipscomb, Graham led the Bears to a 3-1 week, sweeping Lipscomb after dropping the midweek game against No. 10 Arkansas. In addition to her insane batting average, the freshman added three extra base hits, one double and two home runs, driving in five runs and scoring eight times herself.
It marks the first ASUN weekly award for the Bears this season, and the first of Graham's career. This season, she leads Central Arkansas with a .391 batting average, and has 59 hits, 12 doubles and three home runs. She also adds 30 RBI, 11 walks and nine stolen bases. In conference games, she hits .455, which ranks third in the ASUN, and her 25 league hits are tied for second.
The Bears have two weekends left in the regular season, playing at Austin Peay this weekend before hosting North Alabama for Senior Weekend. Games against the Govs are on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
