HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Central Arkansas women's golf team had the best round of any team on Monday, spurring a leap into fourth place heading into Tuesday's final round. Valeria Ramirez, in particular, had a terrific day, vaulting into the top-10.
 
Ramirez shot an even 72 on Monday, improving by over 20 spots to jump up to eighth place. The junior scored a hole in one, the fourth ace in program history, on the 11^th hole. It also marked the first hole of the tournament, for any golfer, to be scored an eagle or better. She added a pair of birdies in the round, and heads into Tuesday's final round three strokes off the podium. Emma Leroy Fabry also had a good round, scoring a 1-over 73 to climb into 12^th. She had two birdies on the day, and sits just a stroke behind Ramirez.
 
Gudrun Thorsteinsdottir saw her standing jump more than 20 places after her second round, posting a 73 of her own to leap into the top-20. She scored two birdies, including one on 18 to head to the final round with a bit of momentum. Camila Negroni scored a 77 on Monday, sinking a birdie on 16 as part of an even 36 on the back nine. Tiana Eldem birdied the ninth hole, and closed her second set of 18 holes with a score of 84.
 
Lipscomb moved into first place after a tough day by Stetson, who fell to second place. FGCU moved into third place, and sits one stroke behind the Hatters. Lipscomb's Casey Yu holds first place on the individual leaderboard, followed by FGCU's Lousiane Gauthier and Lipscomb's Katya Tibbets.
