HUMACAO, Puerto Rico – Day two of the Puerto Rico Shootout saw the Central Arkansas women's golf team drop to eighth, but Camila Negroni rise to fifth place through 36 holes.
 
Negroni shot an even 72 on the day, scoring birdies on her first and last holes of the day to stay at 1-under for the tournament. She sits four strokes off the leader, and three strokes out of the top-three. Emma Leroy Fabry held on to her top-15 spot after playing her way to a 3-over 75. She had three birdies on the day, tied for team lead.
 
Valeria Ramirez played a greatly improved second round, scoring a 2-over 74. The junior tallied three birdies on the day, and has four going into the third and final round. Gudrun Thorsteinsdottir penciled in an 80 on Wednesday, but scored pars on her last five holes to level out before Thursday. Ayami Takahashi turned in a 79, and was even on the back nine with a birdie on 12. Tiana Eldem scored an 81 in round two, with 12 pars on the day.
 
UNCG stayed true and is now in sole possession of first place after 36 holes. James Madison rose into second, while Southern Miss dropped down to third. JMU's Hannah Rabb stayed in first place, along with UNCG's Lulu Leetham holding at second. Little Rock's Anna Dawson climbed into a tie for second place after scoring a 2-under 70.
