MARTIN, Tenn. – The Central Arkansas STUNT team picked up its first-ever two win day, defeating both Centenary and Missouri State on Sunday. The day's results put the Bears at 3-1 on the weekend, and 4-8 on the season.
The Bears opened up 2-0 in the partner stunts against Centenary, jumping out early after four routines. Both sides grabbed a point in the second quarter, sending the teams to halftime with Central Arkansas up 3-1. The lead was extended in both the third and fourth quarters, with the Bears earning two points in the third and six points in the fourth, claiming a fourth double-digit point win this season.
Then against Missouri State, the good Bears racked up all four first quarter points, taking an early lead. The second quarter fell 2-1 in favor of Central Arkansas, resulting in a five-point lead at the midway point. But Missouri State started to make a comeback in the third quarter, picking up three points to cut the lead to two. And though Central Arkansas was outscored 5-4 in the fourth, the lead remained at one, sending the Bears on through for a second-straight win on the day.
Central Arkansas is back on the mats on March 23
rd, heading to Nashville for four games from Thursday through Saturday.
