STUNT Opens Season in Saint Louis

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The 2025 STUNT season started with two valiant efforts by Central Arkansas, taking on Central Methodist and Missouri Baptist on Saturday.

The Bears opened the morning with Central Methodist, and for three quarters, held a lead. Central Arkansas took a 2-1 lead after partner stunts, then a 6-3 lead by halftime, claiming all four points in the second. After the tumbling in the third quarter, the Bears led 7-5, and seemed poised to start the year with a win. But a 5-2 fourth quarter saw the tide turn, and the Bears ended up on the wrong end of a 10-9 final score.

Central Arkansas tried to regroup for the second game of the day, and opened against Missouri Baptist 2-3 in the first quarter. Group stunts saw the score stretch to 5-3 Missouri Baptist, and the Spartans added to the lead in the third. The Spartans were able to pull away in the fourth, and the Bears fell 15-4 in the end.

Central Arkansas STUNT is back on the mats tomorrow at 8 a.m. to take on Trevecca Nazarene, then wrap up the weekend against Maryville at 11.
