CONWAY, Ark. – The University of Central Arkansas Beach Bears are set to hit the sand for a challenging weekend in Houston, Texas, where they will take on UTEP and Texas on Feb. 22, followed by matchups against Houston Christian and McNeese State on Feb. 23.

UCA opens its slate on Thursday against UTEP at 10 a.m., looking to even the all-time series after the Miners claimed a narrow 3-2 victory in their lone meeting last season. The Beach Bears will then face Texas at 12 p.m., marking a tough doubleheader to kick off the weekend.

On Friday, UCA will battle Houston Christian at 11 a.m., aiming to close the gap in their all-time series, which stands at 5-9 in favor of HCU. The teams last met in 2024, with the Huskies securing a 4-1 victory. The Bears will then close out the weekend against McNeese State at 1 p.m., looking to build on their 3-2 victory over the Cowgirls in last year's contest.

With a mix of familiar opponents and fresh challenges ahead, UCA will look to make a statement in Houston and set the tone for the season.
