Big Win for the Bears on Education Day in the Farris Center

CONWAY, Ark. — Central Ark. (5-7, 0-0 ASUN) defeated Kansas Christian (3-8) decisively, 102-47, on Wednesday night at the Farris Center. The event was highlighted as "Education Day," with over 2,000 middle school and elementary students in attendance, creating an energetic atmosphere. Central Ark. capitalized on turnovers, scoring 27 points off 25 Kansas Christian miscues while dominating the paint with 56 points.

The game commenced with Central Arkansas taking an early lead, starting with a layup by Camren Hunter at 19:42, assisted by Cole McCormick. The home team capitalized on Kansas Christian's turnovers, with Hunter scoring another layup at 17:59 to extend their lead to 8-2. Central Arkansas maintained control throughout the half, highlighted by a 3-pointer from Javion Guy-King at 16:24, pushing the score to 15-6. As the half concluded, Malchiah Marable capped a dominant performance with a tip-in at 00:38, bringing Central Arkansas to a 48-25 lead at the break. Marable recorded a career-high 16 total points and logged a career-high 5 offensive rebounds, showcasing his continued improvement as the season has progressed.

Central Arkansas dominated Kansas Christian in the second half, outscoring them by a 54-22 margin to secure a decisive victory. Luke Moore was instrumental early, contributing a layup and a steal leading to a fast-break score, helping the Bears extend their lead. Ty Robinson later added to the momentum with a 3-pointer at the 7:30 mark, pushing the home team further ahead. This game marked Robinson's fourth consecutive game recording at least 12 total points, underscoring his consistent performance. J.C.
