CONWAY, Ark. – Back on the pitch against Austin Peay just four days later, the Central Arkansas women's soccer team starts the back half of the ASUN slate on the road, taking on the Govs on Thursday night. Kickoff in Clarksville, Tennessee is set for 6 p.m.
 
The Bears (4-7-1, 1-3-1 ASUN) and Governors just competed on Sunday, but with the ASUN schedule built the way it is, will now reverse the schedule the front half of the schedule. Sunday's match saw a 2-2 draw between the sides, with goals from Kayla Hurley and Sophia Backstrom. The Bears had leads in both the first and second halves, and gained a point in the ASUN table.
 
With the first match against the Gov's on the books, Backstrom adds herself to the list of Bears with a goal this year, increasing the number to 11 Central Arkansas players with a goal. Hurley, on the other hand, adds her name to the group of Bears with multiple goals, that number now being four.
 
Austin Peay (0-9-4, 0-4-1 ASUN) picked up its first point in the ASUN against the Bears, but the Govs are still seeking their first win of the season. The Governors got goals from Kasidy Schenk and Vivian Burke on Sunday, bringing their total number of goals up to four this year.
 
Now four games into the series against Austin Peay, the Bears have still not lost to the Governors. With a 2-0-2 advantage, the Bears have scored in every match against Austin Peay, dating back to 2022, and have scored two goals in each of the last three meetings.
