Conway, Ark. – The Central Arkansas men's soccer team stays on the road for the next one, heading to Memphis to take on the Tigers in the Bluff City. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
 
The Bears nearly pulled off an upset of nationally ranked Wake Forest last time out, leading 2-0 at half before surrendering three second-half goals to fall late. Central Arkansas controlled things from the outset, scoring both goals before the 25-minute mark. Kevin Ventura and Charles Brunet tallied the scores, the first of the season for each.
 
Central Arkansas has five individual scorers, all with a single goal this season. In goal, Javier Ramirez has logged both starts this year, with one shutout and three total goals allowed. The junior has 14 saves, all of which came against the Demon Deacons.
 
Memphis opened the year with a 1-2 record, having most recently trounced Northern Illinois. It was a much-needed win, stopping a two-game skid for the Tigers, who dropped outings to Lipscomb and Evansville. The 5-1 win over the Huskies saw the Tigers leading 2-0 at halftime, then tallied three more goals in the second half.
 
The Tigers have also had five scorers this season, including five different goal scorers against the Huskies. Lleyton Imparato has two goals and an assist, leading the squad with five points. The Tigers have used two keepers, combining for six goals allowed through three matches.
 
Kickoff in Memphis is set for 6 p.m. at the Track and Soccer Complex on Memphis' Park Avenue Campus. The match will be streamed on ESPN+, with live stats available online.
