DELAND, Fla. – The University of Central Arkansas beach volleyball team concluded its 2024 season at the ASUN Tournament down in Florida Thursday afternoon. The Bears dropped a match to the Jacksonville Dolphins to close their season at 8-25.
UCA 0 – Jacksonville 3
The underclassmen pair of Madelyn White and Audrey Cathcart came close to taking set one, but were ultimately upended 21-17, and then the No. 5 pair for the Dolphins. White and Cathcart fell in the second set, 21-16 to end their solid season together. Anna Collums and Payton Sproule ended their stellar season and careers on the wrong side of a two set decision. UCA has now dropped matches to Jacksonville in the ASUN Tournament in back-to-back seasons, and the Dolphins now hold a 2-1 lead in the all-time series. The Bears' lone win came in the 2022 ASUN Tournament, a 3-2 decision in Huntsville, Alabama.
The Bears end the season with a sense of stability moving into 2025, as they look to continue to improve upon their record. To keep up with UCA beach volleyball moving forward, follow @UCABeachVB on Twitter/X to stay up to date with the schedule for next season.
