The Central Arkansas Sugar Bears delivered a dominant performance against the Bellarmine Knights, winning the match 3-1 and setting a new season high with 11 aces. The Sugar Bears took the first two sets convincingly, 25-16 and 25-18, before dropping the third set 21-25. However, they rebounded with a strong showing in the fourth set, 25-18, to seal the victory.

Laci Bohannan led the offensive charge for Central Arkansas, recording 18 kills with an impressive .361 hitting percentage, contributing 20 points overall. Mackenzie Vernon also had a standout game, registering 14 kills with a .429 hitting percentage and adding 15 points to the team's tally. 

The Sugar Bears' serving game proved to be a key factor, with Alexis McDaniel and Shelbi Owens leading the team with a combined total of seven aces. Owens alone delivered four aces, while McDaniel added three to the tally. Their efforts, combined with strong contributions from Caylan Koons, who added 43 assists and 12 digs, helped the team set the season-high mark of 11 aces.

Defensively, the Sugar Bears were solid with 58 total digs, led by McDaniel's 15 and Bohannan's 11. Regan Harp added nine kills and 12 digs to contribute on both ends of the court. Despite Bellarmine's efforts in the third set, Central Arkansas' balanced attack and aggressive serving proved too much, earning them their victory and pushing their season forward with momentum.

With this win, Central Arkansas improves their season in conference play to 3-0. The Sugar Bears will be back in the Prince Center, Sunday at 1 p.m. against Eastern Kentucky.
