Conway, Ark. – The Central Arkansas Sugar Bears continued their dominance in the ASUN Conference with a commanding 3-0 victory (25-22, 25-21, 25-16) over the Queens Royals on Friday evening at the Prince Center. The win improved Central Arkansas to 11-9 overall and 8-1 in ASUN play, while Queens fell to 6-14 overall and 3-6 in conference action.

The Sugar Bears showcased their offensive strength, hitting .274 as a team while limiting the Royals to a .142 hitting percentage. Mackenzie Vernon led Central Arkansas with 12 kills on a .259 hitting percentage, while Laci Bohannan contributed 10 kills, hitting an impressive .375. Regan Harp also made an impact with 11 kills, and Allison Holloway added five kills along with a team-high five blocks.

Setter Caylan Koons was instrumental in orchestrating the offense, dishing out 34 assists while also adding four service aces and nine digs. Alexis McDaniel anchored the defense with a team-high 16 digs, helping to keep Queens at bay throughout the match.

Central Arkansas took control in the first set with a balanced attack, hitting .244 as they edged out Queens 25-22. They carried their momentum into the second set, earning a 25-21 win with a .265 hitting percentage. The Sugar Bears dominated the third set, hitting a match-high .333 to close out the sweep with a 25-16 victory.

Queens' effort was led by Jordyn Johnson, who recorded nine kills, while Emma Norris hit .615 with eight kills. Despite their efforts, the Royals struggled to overcome the Sugar Bears' efficient attack and resilient defense.

The Sugar Bears will look to extend their win streak Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Prince Center against West Georgia.
