Kennedy Fisher Joins Softball for 2024 Season

CONWAY, Ark. – Another day, another addition to the defending ASUN Champion Central Arkansas softball team. This time, it's transfer catcher Kennedy Fisher joining the squad for the 2024 season.

Hailing from Lawton, Okla., Fisher was a terrific player at Lawton MacArthur High School, earning all-area, -district, -region and -state honors during her high school days. As a senior, she hit .437 with 28 RBI and 52 hits, logging 14 doubles, 11 triples and a pair of home runs. Even more impressively, she only struck out twice .

Finishing her high school career with a .451 average, she racked up 86 RBI, 38 doubles, 23 triples and five home runs for Lawton MacArthur. She played her 2023 season at Grayson College, batting .302 with 10 RBI, 28 runs scored and 10 stolen bases. Defensively, Fisher played behind the dish, maintaining a perfect fielding percentage with 96 putouts at catcher.

With Fisher joining the team, the Bears add depth to the catcher position, where her defense will be a fine addition to a Central Arkansas team that finished with the fourth-best fielding percentage in Division I last season.
