MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Central Arkansas Bears Men's and Women's Track and Field teams traveled to the Memphis Invitational this weekend.
 
After the second day of competition, the Bears broke one school record, earned seven first-places finishes, and 23 top-10 finishes, and set 12 personal records.
 
Breaking the UCA record in the women's Shot Put, Kiara Williams placed fifth with a personal record throw of 13.53m (44-4.75).
 
Natalie Louw placed first in the women's High Jump  with a jump of 1.59m (5-2.5).
 
Anna Bommes placed first in the women's 800m with a time of 2:11.81.
 
Taylor Conway placed first in the women's 400m hurdles with a time of 1:03.29.
 
Kamaria Russell placed first in the women's 200m dash with a time of 25.17.
 
Ali Nachtigal placed first in the women's 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 11:26.90.
 
In the women's 4x100m relay, the UCA team consisting of Z'Kiah Kuykendall, Kamaria Russell, Ciara Tucker, and Kendelle McCoy placed first with a time of 46.90.
 
In the men's 4x100 relay, the UCA team consisting of Wesley Suen, Preston Barker, Tyrone Luckett, and TyJuan Huffman placed first with a time of 41.36.

In the men's High Jump, Robert Ricks III finished 10^th with a jump of 1.75m (5-8.75).

In the men's Discus, Aidan Patton placed eighth with a throw of 44.19m (145-0.0).
In the women's Triple Jump, Abby McMillin placed fifth with a personal record jump of 10.75m (35-3.25).
 
Track Events
In the women's 4x100m relay, the UCA team consisting of Z'Kiah Kuykendall, Kamaria Russell, Ciara Tucker, and Kendelle McCoy placed first with a time of 46.90.
In the men's 4x100 relay, the UCA team consisting of Wesley Suen, Preston Barker, Tyrone Luckett, and TyJuan Huffman placed first with a time of 41.36.  
In the men's 400m dash, Tyrone Luckett placed eighth with a time of 50.33.
In the women's 100m dash, Kendelle McCoy placed third with a time of 12.24. Indiyah Aldridge placed eighth with a time of 12.84.
In the men's 100m dash, TyJuan Huffman placed seventh with a time of 10.90. Wesley Suen was close behind in eighth with a time of 10.98 and Preston Barker finished 14^th with a time of 11.16.
Anna Bommes placed first in the women's 800m with a personal record time of 2:11.81 and Emma Selph followed in second place with a personal record time of 2:13.78. Jewel Baer finished 13^th with a time of 2:28.33, Kennedy Timmerman finished 19^th with a time of 2:41.87, and Anna Jeffcoat finished 10^th with a 2:55.27.
In the men's 800m, Bresner Austin placed fifth with a time of 1:55.20. Hayden Boyett placed ninth with a time of 1:58.70, Jackson Salsman finished 13^th with a time of 1:59.88, Johnny Cordero finished 15^th with a time of 1:59.96, and Tomas Thompson finished 22^nd with a time of 2:00.81.
Taylor Conway placed first in the women's 400m hurdles with a personal record time of 1:03.29.
Kamaria Russell placed first in the women's 200m dash with a time of 25.17. Aubrey Elam finished 13^th with a time of 27.56 and Indiyah Aldridge finished 16^th with a time of 27.84.
In the men's 200m dash, Bruce White placed seventh with a time of 22.58.
Ali Nachtigal placed first in the women's 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 11:26.90.
In the men's 3000m Steeplechase, Beau Melancon placed seventh with a time of 10:08.15.
In the women's 4x400 relay, the UCA team consisting of Grace Deshotels, Kamaria Russell, Ciara Tucker, and Taylor Conway placed fourth with a time of 4:04.44.
In the men's 4x400 relay, the UCA team consisting of Tyrone Luckett, Bruce White, Wesley Suen , and TyJuan Huffman placed second with a time of 3:18.83.

"We had a successful tune up for our last regular season competition. Our focus will shift to staying healthy and maintaining our fitness as we get closer to the ASUN championships. It's been a good year to evaluate where we are as a team and what we need moving forward. We will be ready to compete in two weeks in Jacksonville, Fla."
