CONWAY, Ark. – The University of Central Arkansas beach volleyball program is set to cap off its fall schedule with a home match against Hendrix College and Missouri State.

Earlier in the fall, UCA competed in a intense field at the Collegiate Beach Clash in Huntsville, Alabama. The Bears locked horns with the likes of LSU, South Carolina, Georgia State, and Tulane, all of which are in the top 20 in the country. Freshman Audrey Cathcart was a part of the two UCA wins at the tournament, winning with fellow freshman Ella Weilert and also Madelyn White. The pairs of White and Anna Linskey as well as Weilert and Anna Collums came close to knocking off ranked opponents that weekend as well. The tournament served as an excellent opportunity for the young Bears to get some experience playing with each other before the spring schedule.

The last home tournament will be the first at the Beach Bear courts since the spring scrimmage this past March, so this will be a great chance for Bear fans to come support the team before a big home football match. As for the team, this is a great opportunity to test themselves against some neighboring talent at home for the first time all fall. Last season, the Bears defeated a Hendrix squad that would go on to a 16-15 record. UCA did not get a chance to face Missouri State last season, but the Maroon-clad Bears finished 2023 with a 9-13 record.
