JONESBORO, Ark. – The Central Arkansas women's golf team turned in two rounds of the Lady Red Wolves Classic on Monday, finishing in ninth place after 36 holes. The Bears do, however, have two golfers in the top ten, Madison Holmes and Ayami Takahashi.
 
Holmes improved from round one to two, keeping her play very consistent and crisp. After two birdies in the second round, she sits at a two-round score of 147, and just three strokes away from a top-five spot. Takahashi tallied eight birdies across two rounds, four in each round, to turn in a 3-over 147 of her own. She had an even 72 in the second round, rising 18 spots into the top-10.
 
Pim-Orn Thitisup posted four birdies in her first day of action, turning in a 6-over 150 on her scorecard. The senior started the day leading the Bears, holding a top-10 spot of her own through 18 holes. Valeria Ramirez finished her day with three birdies, ending the day at 158. She finished the back nine of her second round with eight pars and a birdie, slipping up on just a single hole. Camila Moreno provided herself a nice bump up the rankings with a second round score of 76, closing out with par or better on her final six holes. Gudrun Thornsteinsdottir, seeing her first action in Purple and Gray, started her second round with ten-straight holes of par, including the entire front nine. Through two rounds, she holds a score of 159.
 
Arkansas State has built itself a 16-stroke lead hosting its fall event, leading over Little Rock and Eastern Kentucky in the top-three. Little Rock's Anna Dawson holds a three-stroke lead over the field, with Texas A&M-Commerce's Benz Far-arun and Arkansas State's Ashley Kim in a tie for second.
