FLORENCE, Ala. _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears were held to one run Saturday afternoon in a 3-1 loss to the North Alabama Lions in Game 2 of their ASUN Conference series at Mike Lane Field.
UCA (9-15, 4-3) were going for their third consecutive series win after a 7-1 Friday night victory, but managed just six hits off two UNA pitchers. Trailing 3-1 headed to the ninth inning, junior first baseman

Drew Pollum. But from there, he did not allow another run, finishing his day with 7 innings, 5 hits and six strikeouts.

Jesse Barker went 7 2/3 innings, allowing 8 hits, 2 earned runs and striking out 8. The Lions picked up single runs in the first, seventh and eighth innings, with right fielder Devne Daniel accounting for two of the RBI. UNA (7-18, 2-6) finished with eight hits.
The deciding game of the series is set for 1 p.m. Sunday.
