WOLCOTT, Colo. _ The University of Central Arkansas stands in a three-way tie for fourth place after Day 1 of the Golfweek Red Sky Classic being played at Red Sky Golf Club's Fazio Course.

UCA junior Tania Nunez is tied for third place after a first-round, 5-under 67. Junior Elin Kumlin is tied for 11th place with a 3-under 69. Nunez recorded five birdies and no bogeys, while Kumlin had five birdies and two bogeys on the day. That pair helped the UCA finish with a 283 team score, tied with Denver and Colorado.  Northern Arizona leads the field of 20 with a 279.

UCA sophomore Camila Moreno shot a 73 and is tied for 42nd place, while sophomore Pim-orn Thitisup and junior Karley Whittington both shot 74 and are tied for 51st. 

The tournament continues on Tuesday and Wednesday.
