CONWAY, Ark. _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears open their 2021 season at home on Thursday night when they host UTRGV Vaqueros at the Bill Stephens Complex.

    UCA and UTRGV will meet at 7 p.m. in the regular-season opener for both squads. The Bears, under the direction of first-year head coach Frank Kohlenstein, will be playing their first of six home regular-season games in 2021.

    UCA will also be at home again at 6 p.m. Sunday against Belmont, before embarking on a three-game road swing, with two games in a tournament at UAB in Birmingham, Ala. (Sept 3 & 5), and a road matchup at Missouri State in Springfield, Mo. (Sept. 8).
