CONWAY, Ark. – The Central Arkansas beach volleyball team returns to the sand for the final regular season tournament at the Blazer Beach Bash in Birmingham. The Beach Bears take a 15-12 record into the final tournament. UCA will be joined by host UAB, Coastal Carolina, Mercer and ULM.
 
UCA is coming off of a rough weekend at the Battle on the Bayou where the Beach Bears posted a 1-4 record. Central Arkansas looks to bounce back this weekend at the Blazer Beach Bash. The Beach Bears will mix the lineup up a little bit to try and get UCA back to its winning ways.
 
UCA opens the tournament with a matchup against Coastal Carolina. This will be the first meeting between the two programs. The Sandy Chants are receiving votes in the AVCA Collegiate Beach Volleyball Coaches Poll. Coastal Carolina enters the weekend with an 18-6 record. The Sandy Chants are led by Irena Drobnjak and Sarlota Svobodova in the No. 1 position with a 15-5 record.
 
This will be the 10th meeting between the Beach Bears and the Warhawks. UCA holds a 6-3 series lead over ULM, but the Warhawks have won the last two meetings. ULM enters the tournament with a 13-17 record. Audrey Brooks and Julia Blazek are the No. 1 pair for the Warhawks.
 
Central Arkansas and Mercer will meet for just the second time in program history. UCA won the only meeting 5-0 in Birmingham on March 16, 2018. Mercer enters the weekend with a 9-12 record. Emilee Wissmach and Gracie Garanich hold down the No. 1 spot for Mercer.
 
The Beach Bears and Blazers met for the first time earlier this season and UAB came away with a 5-0 victory at the Horned Frog Challenge. The Blazers enter the tournament with a 9-12 record. Rachel Tam and Mikayla Law-Heese pace UAB at the No. 1 position.
