AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Central Arkansas men's and women's track teams returned to Mike A. Myers Stadium for day two of the 93rd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Friday. Both the men's and women's 4x400m relay teams proved to be strong for the Bears.
Tristan LaVan,
Ryan Yarde,
Zachary Jewell, and
Shamal Sullivan ran the 10th-best time in the 4x400m prelims with a combined run of 3:15.12.
The women's team of
Tamera Rhode,
Ajah Criner,
Taylor Conway, and
Aysha Anderson posted a combined time of 3:53.73 in the 4x400m relay and were 17th fastest in prelims.
The squad of
Sierra Temple,
Kendelle McCoy, Criner, and
Z'Kiah Kuykendall clocked a time of 47.21 in the 4x100m relay and finished with the 18th-fastest mark in prelims.
The team of
Emmanuel Olie,
Alec Townsley, LaVan, and
Jordan Atkins placed 14th in the 4x100m prelims with a group effort of 41.27.
Criner notched a run of 11.89 and produced the 30th-best time in the 100m prelims. Temple added a personal-best effort of 12.11 and came in 49th.
Emmanuel Olie produced the 33rd-best mark in the 100m prelims with his career-best mark of 10.56.
Atkins recorded a personal-best run of 14.61 in the 110m hurdle prelims and posted the 35th-best run.
In the 100m hurdle prelims,
Ayana Harris posted a time of 14.34 and had the 41st-fastest mark. Anderson came in 45th with an effort of 14.54, nearly tying her career best of 14.53.
UCA is back on the track for the final day of the Texas Relays on Saturday with the 800m at 2:55 p.m.
