AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Central Arkansas men's and women's track teams opened the 93rd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Thursday at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
Aysha Anderson and
Tamara Reeves led the women's team on the track, while
Max Nores broke a school record in the 5,000m.
Nores clocked a career-best time of 14:35.31 in the 5,000m and finished 12th. His time set a UCA program record.
Jaron Hamilton placed fourth in the 3,000m steeplechase with a mark of 9:09.39, nearly tying his school record of 9:09.23.
Anderson recorded a second-place finish in her heat of the 400m hurdle prelims with a personal-best run of 1:02.53, which was 28th overall.
Taylor Conway added a career-best mark of 1:04.50 and placed fourth in her heat, 40th overall.
Reeves finished in fifth in the 1,500m B Final with a personal-best effort of 4:33.97.
Tristan LaVan won his heat of the 400m prelims and notched the 23rd-fastest time with his career-best mark of 47.86.
Ajah Criner produced a run of 24.74 and clocked the 42nd-fastest time in the 200m prelims.
Alec Townsley ran a career best of 22.44 in the 200m prelims and came in with the 65th-best mark.
The Bears return to the track on Friday for day two of the Texas Relays. The women's 4x100m relay will start the action for UCA at 1 p.m. Live stats can be found
