CONWAY, Ark. – The University of Central Arkansas men's and women's track teams closed out the
Richard Martin Jr Invitational on Saturday. Both the men and women combined for four points in the Governor's I-40 Showdown.
The Bears combined for a total of 62 personal bests on the final day. UCA won 11 events on the day.
The squad of
Ajah Criner,
Tyler Rose,
Tamera Rhode, and
Aysha Anderson won the 4x400m relay with an effort of 3:46.46. They set the best time in UCA history.
Tristan LaVan won the 400m with a career-best time of 48.25.
Shamal Sullivan notched a personal-best effort of 48.58 and placed second.
Ryan Yarde completed the sweep for UCA with a third-place run of 48.91, which is a personal best.
Erin Woodward clocked a career-best time of 4:41.01 and won the 1,500m.
Sarah Grace Meek placed second with an effort of 5:28.78.
Marie Møller Schmidt added a personal-best mark of 5:28.98 and finished third.
Alex Hanson posted a career-best time of 3:50.92 as he won the 1,500m.
TJ Robinson recorded a personal-best run of 3:51.18 and came in second.
Jared Hamilton completed the sweep with a third-place finish with a career-best effort of 3:52.76.
Sara Steimel won the 3,000m steeplechase with a personal-best run of 11:24.11.
Anna Bommes produced a career-best effort of 11:45.08 and finished in second.
Julia Clark notched the best time of her career with a run of 12:11.59 as she placed third and helped UCA pick up another sweep.
Jared Hamilton won the 800m with a mark of 1:53.23, which is a career best.
Jordan Atkins won the 110m hurdles with a 14.82W, which was the fastest he has run.
Simon Schneider clocked a personal-best time of 10:02.92 and won the 3,000m steeplechase.
Luke Anthony won the javelin with a throw of 55.49m (182-1).
Grant Southerland added a personal-best mark of 49.75m (163-3).
Aidan Patton won the shot put with a career-best toss of 14.56m (47-9.25).
Malik Beasley added a personal-best distance of 12.87m (42-2.75) and finished in third.
Natalie Lark won the pole vault with a career-best height of 3.50m (11-5.75).
Lyndsey Hover placed third with a vault of 2.90m (9-6.25).
Taylor Coleman came in second in the triple jump with a leap of 11.54m (37-10.5).
Jada Bailey produced a career-best jump of 10.90m (35-9.25).
Sierra Temple clocked a personal-best time of 12.04 in the 100m and finished in second.
Kendelle McCoy added a career-best mark of 12.32 and placed third.
Ayana Harris produced a personal-best time of 14.28W and finished in second in the 100m hurdles. Anderson finished in third with a mark of 14.66W.
Rose produced a career-best run of 56.00 in the 400m and came in second. Rhode notched a personal-best effort of 57.69 and finished third.
Jordan Brock finished second in the 800m with a mark of 2:19.86.
Charlotte Blair came in third with a time of 2:23.48.
Jalal Taylor placed second in the triple jump with a leap of 13.79m (45-3).
Anderson clocked a personal-best time of 1:03.79 in the 400m hurdles and came in second.
LaVan, Yarde, Sullivan, and Robinson finished in second place in the 4x400m relay with a combined effort of 3:18.45. The squad of

Joshua Armstead came in third with a combined time of 3:18.87.
Rose placed third in the 200m with a career-best effort of 24.96.
Anthony placed third in the 400m hurdles with a personal-best time of 57.83.

Alec Townsley placed third with a combined run of 41.41 in the 4x100m relay.
The squad of Temple,
Z'Kiah Kuykendall, McCoy, and Harris combined for a time of 49.40 and finished in third.
